Competitive Manager and WAG Head Coach

Kapiti Gymnastics Club – Wellington – New Zealand 

Kapiti Gymnastics is a thriving and successful gymnastics club based in the sunny Kapiti Coast, just north of Wellington, New Zealand. We have been offering recreational and competitive gymnastics for over 30 years and are housed in our own purpose built building which was significantly extended in 2018. We currently offer both recreational and competitive artistic programmes, and host two large competitions annually including the Wellington Junior Championships which in 2019 saw over 400 competitors competing over two days.

With our newly extended facility we now have the capacity to significantly grow and build on the opportunities and programmes we provide for people in our community. This includes realising our vision of significantly increasing the size of our competitive programme, and exploring the potential of adding additional disciplines and pathways such as Recreational Competitive, Team Gym and Competitive Tumbling.

We are seeking a full time Competitive Manager/WAG Head Coach who will oversee and grow our existing competitive programmes and be our leading WAG coach. The successful applicant will lead a thriving competitive programme that will provide our gymnasts with opportunities to develop and achieve to their full potential, and support our existing young coaches to continue to develop and grow.

We are seeking minimum qualifications of Senior Coach (Gymnastics NZ) or equivalent international qualification. We can also provide written support for applications for NZ work visas.
