Gymnastic Teacher

Provo Gymnastics is actively seeking a innovative and fun Gymnastic Teacher for a new Gymnastic Academy to be opening very soon in the lovely Turks & Caicos Islands, British West Indies.

This position will be responsible for the supervision and development of the gymnastics programs being mainly uneven bars, beams, floor and tumble trak.

Applicants must be enthusiastic and love working with children with the age of 5 to 16., Physical requirements include lifting at least 25 pounds, continual movement over uneven surfaces, climbing stairs, setting up mats and equipment, etc.

Shifts:

Monday - Friday from 3:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Saturdays from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm

Sundays on request

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare lesson plans and rotation schedule for team classes and assist in developing gymnastic programs.

• Ensure maximum use of time and space by all gymnasts.

• Prepare gymnasts working towards award schemes.

• Assist with gymnasts taking part in competitions or events.

• Set up and prepare training facilities and to clean up facility at end of the day.

• Keep daily attendance records and progress reports.

• Assist with routine office tasks, such as scheduling.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of the principles, practices and methods of gymnastic programs, safety and organization (minimum of 1 year).

• High school diploma or equivalent in a Sports Coaching Qualification.

• Must be able to communicate well with co-workers, gymnasts and parents.

• Have a certification in First Aid and CPR.

• Knowledge of USAG levels from beginner to level 10

• Teach skills on floor, bar, trampoline, beam and tumble trak.

• Fluent in English
