Women's JO Team Coach- Houston, Texas

Discover Gymnastics, Houston's Premier Gymnastics facility, is seeking a dependable, professional and highly motivated compulsory gymnastics team coach for our fast growing, highly successful women's competitive team program.

Job Responsibilities:

• The primary role is to prepare athletes for competition and represent Discover Gymnastics at competitions as scheduled
• Coaches are expected to be positive, energetic and enthusiastic as they evaluate progress of their athletes
• Lead individuals in a team setting, support the team culture and create an atmosphere for athlete success
• Model behaviors and perform the tasks assigned with enthusiasm that reflects and supports the company's values
• 10% administrative and 90% coaching position
• Develop students across all learning domains including physical, mental, emotional and social skills
• Actively observe and evaluate each athlete's progress in mastering skills
• Strive to continually improve the knowledge of Discover Gymnastics programs, services, processes and business relationships
• Commitment to the continued growth of the team program

Job Requirements:

• 2-3 years experience coaching competitive gymnastics
• Offsite work and out of town travel will be required
• Must be motivated, enthusiastic, positive, and dependable
• Able to communicate effectively with parents, gymnasts, and fellow coaches
• Working knowledge of USAG rules and regulations
• Ability to pass an employment background check
